04.10.16 Practical-Makeup for black and white film-Technical file

Demo
  • Cleanse the face
  • Apply foundation mixed with Illamasqua white base all over the face neck and ears (just use a small amount of white base, enough for a sickly appearance)
  • Blend and buff into the hair line
  • Using the palm of your hand press onto the face to make the models skin look more natural (the idea is to make it look like skin)
  • Highlight the forehead, nose, cupids bow, cheek bones, around the eye and shape of the jaw line
  • Use black on the eye brows going with the natural brow
  • Use brown and a small brush too outline the eye lid, apply colour slightly above the natural lid, start at the tear duct and end with a flick the other side, the match the colour to the under eye lid to shop around the eye and enlarge it
  • Blend
  • Add light colour to the immediate eye lid for more effect
  • Add brown to contour either side of the nose
  • Contour cheeks and neck
  • Using black supra colour, colour the lips and give them a rounded cupids bow, smudge away the song lines with a cotton bud, this is called the ‘smudge’
